Kupwara, March 02 (KNO): National Conference (NC) Saturday staged a protest in northern Kashmir’s Kupwara district against the attempts being made to tamper with Article 35A. The protesters marched from NC party quarters towards main market amid raising slogans in favour of 35A, holding placards assembled outside the DDC complex Kupwara. The protest as per KNO correspondent was led by NC MLC Qaiser Jamsheed Lone who cautioned the central as well as the state government about tampering with Article 35A, asking them to clear their stand. The prevailing situation across the state is disturbed due to the doubted situation created by Central and state government. People at the helm have created chaos among the masses, he said. He also said that it was not the domain of Governor Satya Pal Malik to amend the existing law and special status of Valley. he is no one to tamper any status of Jammu and Kashmir. “The way they are tampering the special status looks like time isn’t far when their actions will result in prolong protests,” he said.(KNO)
